Loft insulation

What Is Loft Insulation?

Loft insulation is a material made from mineral wool, sheep’s wool and fibreglass. These are non-flammable materials that require an extremely high temperature to melt, meaning they are perfectly safe to be used as insulation.

Loft insulation works by preventing heat from moving through the fibres, reducing heat loss as it moves upwards. They are usually installed at the same time as a new heating system. Combining a new heating system and loft insulation can be a great way to get the most out of your heating system and trap the heat inside your home.

This will help you massively in the winter months as you won’t need to constantly have the heating on, and your home should stay nice and toasty.

Benefits

Some of the benefits of having loft insulation put into your home are:

● Huge savings on your energy bills – With more heat being trapped in your home for longer, there is less need to have the heating on all the time, saving you money on your heating bills.

● Long lasting – Loft insulation can last up to potentially 40 years, saving you a great deal of heat and money over a long time period.

● More eco friendly – Because your heating will not be on as often, you are overall being more eco-friendly by not using these energy sources all day or all night.

● Simple installation process – The installation process is very simple and should only take a few hours to complete, leaving you with a cosy home.

Finding A Reliable Installer

You want to make sure you are choosing a reliable installer or company to put your loft insulation in. The last thing you need are problems and improper installation services that cost you later down the line. A reliable company can also help advise you on the best options for your home and help you find the right solution for you.
