What Are the Benefits of Electric Storage Heaters?

All Posts

While the temperature is rapidly dropping and the evenings are getting frostier, many people are still hesitant to turn their heating on this winter.

We know that turning on your heating can be a worrying prospect because of how expensive it can be to heat your home, however, there are a few solutions that can keep you warm without breaking the bank.

Keep reading for the benefits of electric storage heaters and find out how you can get yours for free today.

Electric storage heaters

Electricity tariff

A storage heater is a great way to save money as they work by making use of electricity during off-peak hours when tariffs are cheaper.

A storage heater charges up overnight and releases heat during the day. Thermal heating bricks in the storage heater body warm up between midnight and 8 am when electricity is available at cheaper rates. The air circulating through your home throughout the day passes through your storage heaters and is heated up by the bricks.

By storing all the heat at night and slowly releasing it during the day, you can get an efficient heating solution without wasting any money.

Easy maintenance

Storage heaters are much easier to maintain than other heating methods such as gas boilers as they don’t need regular servicing.

Efficient

Electric storage heaters save energy through the use of a thermostat, which lets you control how much heat you want and well.

In a well-insulated property, heaters can give heating of up to twice the amount of time they spent storing heat from the environment.

Inexpensive installation

Installation fees for other heating solutions can be costly. Storage heaters are much less costly to install as they don’t require as much complex equipment as installing central heating, for example.

At UK Energy Management (NE) Ltd, we offer 100% free application and installation for electric storage heaters. Simply check our eligibility checker to find out if you qualify for a free storage heater.
